Boil the pasta as normal when is just slightly underdone, drain and rinse it with cool water Split the pasta into 2 or 3 different bowl depending on how many colours you want to use then add the colour to each of the bowls as well as 1 Tablespoon of oil. Mix the pasta and let it cool down for an hour. Display the pasta in the tray and let the babies explore. The adult can support them by talking about what does the pasta feel like, wet, dry, different texture, colours, how many colours do we have, can we mix these colours.
For the next few weeks' activities we are going to have a theme which will be the story 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar.' All activities will be linked to this story and we have added the Youtube links below so that the children can watch the story and listen to some related songs.
